• Biomedical Science Careers Program: Where The Earth Is Red

  • Hired by Dina Rudick, Director & Lead Producer, Anthem Multimedia.

They needed a trusted editor who could turn around a high-emotion, high-impact piece with precision and emotional sensitivity.

I have been collaborating with Dina for years now, and this project was one of my favorites that I have done with her.

  • I was the assistant editor and composer. I helped ensure that emotional flow was smooth from start to finish.

  • Getting the music and pacing right was very difficult. You want to be sensitive to the situation.

Getting the end to match the energy of the beginning while still maintaining the same level of energy came down to excellent sound effects work, matching music, and pacing.

    • Built a strong emotional backbone from the best speaker moments, prioritizing clarity and urgency.

    • Pushed pacing to keep momentum constantly building — no long-winded interview clips.

    • Matched story beats to a driving music track selected by the client for energy and consistency.

    • Layered b-roll intentionally at emotional peaks to reinforce key moments visually without slowing the rhythm.

    • Delivered a full suite of exports: 16x9 and 9x16 formats for both full video and short social cuts.
